Goodbye Bingo Night Live
After three months on the air, ITV has announced that the late night bingo show Bingo Night Live is cancelled. This will be disappointing to the audience that find Bingo Night Live to be fun and entertaining to watch.
According to a source with ITV, the show was somewhat in an experimental stage and after weighing in on the growth of the audience and production cost it was not feasible to remain on air. This happens quite often in the public and it will be missed.
The series ran for 99 episodes from June 4th to November 15th of this year. After initial success, with more than 50,000 viewers per night, the bingo show began to decline. ITV initially cut the number of broadcasts per week from five to two in September, before deciding on cancellation. It had built up a faithful audience but it wasn’t enough to make it work. After a while the audience had decreased tremendously which left them to wonder if it was something they could afford to lose. Unfortunately they needed more.
Bingo Night Live awarded prizes of 1,000 pounds every evening and set a record for the biggest interactive bingo win ever when a player from Margate won 60,500 pounds.
