Sun Bingo Launched With a Bang

It has been just over a week since the new Sun Bingo site launched. They launched with a bang and I am quite excited to see if they are going to keep up the momentum. Before they even left the Tombola bingo platform, Sun Bingo, together with sister online bingo site News of the World were offering a huge ₤100 000 worth of prizes to all members who re-registered with them. These prizes took the form of 10, new fitted kitchens worth ₤10 000 each, five per online bingo site.

The reason for the decision of Sun bingo to move over to the Gamesys online bingo platform was they wished to have more control over their site. Until this move took place, Gamesys provided online bingo software exclusively to Jackpot Joy.

It remains to be seen whether Sun Bingo has done the right thing or not by making this move. They were already the most popular online bingo site in the UK when they were on the Tombola software platform, and not too long ago it was reported that they were the leaders with 19% of the online bingo market share in the UK.

Financially, this lead in the market, placed Sun bingo leaps and bounds ahead of anyone else, so they must have had confidence in their move in order to take this giant leap of faith. The move has been seen by some online bingo experts as a cynical attempt to make more money from the online bingo site. But then again, we are all in business to make money; why else would we be doing what we do, so for me that is not the issue. After a quick peek at the new Sun online bingo site, I saw some confusion from members’ however, I believe these are simple teething problems that will resolve with time.
